Sometime last week, I don't remember exactly when, I slipped on some ice and while trying to catch myself I apparently twisted my foot in a weird way and damaged the peroneus tetius (tertius?) tendon in my right foot.
The pain built gradually, until last night when I went pretty quickly from being able to limp around to not being able to put any weight on that foot at all.
I guess the only way to treat it is to stay off of it and hope that it gets better. I go back to the doctor in a week to see if it's improved any. In the mean time I'm getting around by using a desk chair like a scooter and rolling all over the house. The doctor wouldn't give me crutches because, with all the ice around, he thinks that they are too dangerous.
Since the desk chair thing doesn't work real well outside the house, I'm stuck at home for at least the next few days. Maybe I'll rent some movies from iTunes.

Good thing you made it home before you were completely incapacitated. Feet can be so annoying.
