I started the day in Michigan, drove more or less diagonally across Wisconsin then picked up I-90 and drove all the way across Minnesota and 70 miles into South Dakota.
This is the only day On the trip where I hit four different states, that was about the most interesting thing about the day, too. I-90 across Minnesota is really boring.

That does sound like a long day, but a cool trip. I am enjoying reading about your journey home.

road trips are the best. music, scenery, thinking, relaxing...can't be beat. i love that there's a big stone sign for something "theoretical"!! awesome. :)
